GVK and Samantha Jones- being true to ones self

I had the utmost privilege to work with Samantha Jones ~ www.therealsamanthajones.com ~ when she directed my last solo show

You CAN get there from here…

So to chat with her on my podcast was nothing less than exhilarating! This woman does it all ~ she directs, acts, coaches improv, and writes her own solo shows. And there is no better person to talk with about celebrating who you are, than Samantha. She helps people find the hilarious in the mundane and recognize the Divine in their own stories. I went to her with a fully formed script and a few performances under my belt, but I knew something was missing. Samantha saw that the missing piece of puzzle was me! She said to me “I watched 20 minutes of your (videotaped) performance and you were like a lion in a cage. Back and forth, back and forth on stage, ready to explode. I knew just how to help you!” She fully embraced my power and helped me own it.  The fully dynamic and lightning energy me. My performance and message became all that I had dreamed it could be!

I believe that we come into this world excited to be Who We Are, and then events occur that either make us forget or make us not want to be exactly who we came to be. For me, it was both. The brutality of my teen life shifted me into someone who had to survive, and not being me seemed the safest way to do just that. Sigh. Looking back, I realize that even when I was trying not to be me, pieces came bursting out, like singing at the top of my lungs to my favorite song everywhere I went. When I left the suffocation of the small town I lived in, I began searching, seeking, and questioning the things I had been told about who I was. I explored the psychic & spiritual world and found a place that I belonged. Those people weren’t overwhelmed by my passion, confused by my psychic gifts, or blown away by my visions. Then the world became a different, accepting, and more loving place to be.

There is no more powerful way to raise the vibration of our world than to fully honor who we came here to be. I know that being our authentic self is the best way to honor the Divine. There is only one you on this planet. This is the only time you will be this You so dive in and celebrate!

Kristin and Kevin Coughlin of Morristown Green.com talk about his upcoming film festival

What a treat to talk with Kevin Coughlin, editor and creator of MorristownGreen.com ! Typically, Kevin is the one creating the dialogue, but, I wanted to know about his upcoming Film Festival on Saturday, 8.24.13 in Morristown, NJ., so I brought him in to pick his incredible brain. This festival takes in 5 minute short films from residents in Morristown,of all ages, to express their creativity and use their voice. Each year there is a theme and this year it is documentaries. Not only was this conversation interesting, and informative, but, I also laughed, because who would have thought that shoeboxes are vital to a film festival.

I was so inspired by Kevin’s ability to bring a community together that I share a story about why the nurturing of creativity changed my life. I was encouraged by my husband, Jeff, one of my best friends Dawn, and psychic Sonia Choquette.

GVK with Jane Petrov and her film short What Future

Jane Petrov and I talked at length about her 12 minute short film What Future. There is time travel, recycling, earth consciousness and saving our future Earth! Besides hitting the film circuit in September, Jane’s desire is for the film to enter our schools curriculum to help educate children. What Future is “The Christmas Carol of sustainability,” which means that things are bleak, but, we can turn it around. Jane’s life purpose is to bring together creative talent and tell a story to create change and she does so powerfully with this film.

Living a conscious life is my favorite topic. There are many paths to consciousness and one of them is mindful behavior toward our Earth. Recycling and composting are the easiest ways to help keep our Earth healthy. It is easy to point fingers at our past generations on what was wrong, yet to fully shift the vibration toward awareness in our environment we must instead do things in a different manner. The ways of the past no longer serve our future. The company, Seventh Generation’s viewpoint is how we behave today will effect the next seven generations. That means that we need to be aware of what we put not only into our bodies, but into our sustenance, which is our Mother Earth.
I love that Jane and her production company, SkyTown Entertainment, want to shift the vibration of what could be a desolate hell on Earth, to an abundant healthy Earth for generations to come. So Keep your eyes open, keep checking the films progress on the What Future facebook page ~
and support Jane’s efforts for a healthy Earth by recycling, eating organic, living a more mindful life and spreading Love in your everyday life.
