GVK explores how animals add to our lives
I loved talking with Uma Valerie Carruthers! Why? Because she is all about how important animals are in our lives. I can’t imagine life without animals. And I don’t just mean domesticated animals, I mean all animals! I love sitting with nature and just listening to the birds, watching the insects scurry, build & burrow, becoming friends with the squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, skunks or who ever happens to be hanging out in my energy field. Animals are part of the very fiber of my being and utterly important to my existence.
As we awaken, as we become more conscious in our spiritual nature, as we live as spiritual beings as opposed to human beings, we begin to understand that we are connected to everything. Everything communicates with us as we do with them. The animal world shows up to bring us love, to mirror things we need to transmute and to move us into an elevated vibration. They teach us compassion, forgiveness and unconditional love~they open our heart chakras.
When I was living in Boston, one of my coworkers came into work crying. I went to comfort her and find out what was wrong. She said that on her way to work she saw a group of people gathered around a large cube of compacted garbage. From inside that cube, were the cries of a cat who had somehow been in the garbage when it was picked up and was then compacted with it, but was still alive. All the people gathered were frantically taking turns ripping the garbage away to get to the cat. The police had been called and they were on their way to help. My coworker had been helping, but, could not stay because she was already late for work. I assured her that people would stay until that cat was free. She went out to the spot at her lunch break ~ the people were gone, the was cat gone and there was a large whole in the garbage cube.
Every person who helped that cat had a heart opening. That cat affected a positive change of love in each and every person who helped it to it’s freedom. Some people opened up to more compassion and love, some people were able to be freed from something that bound them, and some people left with a sense that they matter in this world. Lives were changed. All of them. With the help of one little cat…
